A hidden gem on the north Cornish coast near St.Agnes

Inside

The interior space is open-planned, bright, airy and very carefully thought-out.

The sitting room area at the far end boasts a large log-burning stove complete with a warming oven (for heating a pasty perhaps?) Owners Glen and Roger will leave a full log basket ready for your arrival. The linen grey sofa is perfect for a couple to curl up on. There are books and local maps to browse, board games to play and binoculars to get to grips with. If you must stay in touch, The Old Goathouse has Wi-Fi too. Roger has up-cycled and transformed bookshelves, tables and cupboards to ensure every piece has been tailor-made to fit the space perfectly.

Ian Mankin striped fabric, lashings of Farrow & Ball and Nina Campbell wallpaper work fabulously to give the charming barn conversion a contemporary, luxury feel without detracting in anyway from the character of The Old Goathouse.

“A wonderful find”

I can only endorse everything said by previous guests. There are 2 tests for a great cottage. 1) When out walking, you look forward to getting back to its warm embrace.
2) You are reluctant to leave. Full marks to the Old Goathouse on both counts.
