A hidden gem on the north Cornish coast near St.Agnes

Outside

The Old Goathouse is as much about the outside space as the interior. You cannot really find a lovelier spot.

Nestled quietly in an abundance of fruit trees, wildflower gardens and herbs to help yourself, Glen has planted the outside space not just wearing her culinary hat (both she and Roger are great cooks) but also with her passion for plants and flowers. Around the deck are sage, lavender and mint, known for their therapeutic powers of calming, relaxing and reviving. A perfect planting fit for this special place.

A stream divides the wild spinach from the paddock that is home to two rescue goats, Joshua and Ruth. Don’t worry, these magnificent characters won’t expect to share your retreat with you, they have their own shed in the field, however if you decide to watch the sunset from the wooden seat underneath the sycamore tree, they may well come too.

Ample off road parking

“A wonderful find”

I can only endorse everything said by previous guests. There are 2 tests for a great cottage. 1) When out walking, you look forward to getting back to its warm embrace.
2) You are reluctant to leave. Full marks to the Old Goathouse on both counts.
