A hidden gem on the north Cornish coast near St.Agnes

The Old Goathouse is as much about the outside space as the interior. You cannot really find a lovelier spot.

The Old Goathouse enjoys a secluded location, with no passing cars or people, yet only 500 metres from a lovely little cove and access to the southwest coastpath. The property is nestled amongst fruit trees and wild flower gardens and vegetable plots.  The polytunnel can provide some organic seasonal veg and salads, grown metres from your door.

The covered decking leads to a south facing suntrap, with a cable drum table and chairs, great for alfresco dining. A separate wild flower area and lawn has a fire-pit and BBQ, with funky angled seats for stargazing. St.agnes has gained “dark sky status”, one of only 2 sites in the county.

We are so lucky to have two resident owl families, you should get a glimpse of them at dusk in the summer months, and hear them calling to feed their offspring. We are blessed with great wildlife, from foxes and badgers and the occasional deer, to woodpeckers, kestrels, buzzards and peregrines, and the very rare Nightjar.

Venture up to the top paddock where a lovely old bench awaits, which catches the sunlight right up to sunset. Its just you and nature, a reflective space to enjoy your book or your favourite tipple.
